Director’s Note

Ohio Furniture Market director’s note with executive director portrait.

As we look toward the 2026 Ohio Furniture Market, coming April 8–9 to the Mt. Hope Event Center, I’m reminded of what makes our builders truly remarkable. Here in Ohio, furniture making isn’t just an industry— it’s a way of life. Many of our builders work close to home, with family and faith woven into the rhythm of their craft. They build with care, integrity, and consistency – values that show in every piece that leaves their shop.

As imported furniture costs rise and overseas uncertainty continues to challenge the market, the strength of locally made furniture has never been clearer. Across our community, hundreds of craftsmen are quietly producing world-class furniture that’s built to last, and built right here.

In Ohio. When you arrive at the Market in April, you’ll see the difference that genuine craftsmanship and homegrown collaboration make

Warm regards,

Kendrick Mullet,
