Celebrating A Successful Market

THE GOAL OF THE MARKET
The goal of this market is simple: to showcase the talented members of the Hardwood Furniture Guild. For the builders who attended the market, hardwood furniture is more than an industry; it’s a lifestyle. They live just down the road from their shops and walk home for lunch to enjoy a home-cooked meal with their families.
With support from the Hardwood Furniture Guild, the lifestyle and traditional craftsmanship passed down for generations were displayed for retailers attending from across the US and Canada. This refined craft goes above and beyond what we see in today’s furniture industry, and the Guild’s goal is to bolster these craftsmen. The Ohio Hardwood Furniture Market accomplished that yet again this year.

ATTENDANCE
This year, we had a high attendance, with 1,032 buyers from 389 retail stores, and 90 of these stores were first-time attendees.
Retail stores from 35 states and Canada were in attendance this year. The top three states represented were Michigan with 28 stores, Pennsylvania with 41 stores, and Ohio with 118 stores. We’re excited to see the number of states in attendance rise year to year.
